Multimedia Designer (at the rank of IT Technician) in the Teaching and Learning Innovation Centre (TALIC) (Ref: 532278) 

The Role

The appointee will play a key role in supporting the AI in Education Lab led by Professor Cecilia K.Y. Chan. Responsibilities include:

  • Designing, updating, and maintaining the Lab’s websites to ensure a user-friendly and visually appealing experience.
  • Creating and managing multimedia content, including video filming, production, and editing for educational materials, promotional campaigns, and other digital content.
  • Developing animations, graphics, and post designs to enhance the Lab’s online presence and engagement.
  • Collaborating with the Lab’s team to ensure all digital and multimedia materials align with the Lab’s mission and objectives.

Qualifications and Qualities

  • Bachelor’s degree or above in arts, design or other related disciplines;
  • 2-3 years of relevant work experience in web design and animation production;
  • Proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite, including Premiere Pro, Animate, Illustrator, Photoshop;
  • Proficiency in web design tools, including Wix and Figma;
  • Coding and programming skills, such as Python and R are preferred;
  • Strong art sense with creative mindset; responsibility, good communication & organisation skills, and self-motivated.

The appointment will commence as soon as possible on a 1-year temporary basis, with the possibility of renewal subject to satisfactory performance and funding availability.  A highly competitive salary commensurate with qualifications and experience will be offered.
