Several posts are opened for applications as Post-doctoral Fellow/Senior Research Assistant in the Department of Social Work and Social Administration (Ref.: 532280), to commence as soon as possible for one year, with the possibility of renewal subject to satisfactory performance and funding availability.
Applicants for Post-doctoral Fellow should possess a Ph.D. degree with a focus on research in Social Sciences, Social Work, Psychology, Sociology, Public Health, Social Organizational studies, or a related discipline. Applicants for Senior Research Assistant should possess a Master’s degree or above in Social Sciences, Social Work, Psychology, Sociology, Public Health, Social Organizational studies, or a related discipline, and have a minimum of 1 year of post-qualification research experience.
Applicants should have a strong background and experience in qualitative and quantitative research on social sciences, along with a high level of proficiency in written and spoken English and Chinese (including Cantonese) and the ability to work independently and as a team. Knowledge and experience in using mixed research methods are highly preferred. A strong publication track record on peer-reviewed academic journals and research grants will be an advantage.
The appointee will work on research projects related to organizational study, mental health and community, assisting the PI in managing, coordinating, and implementing research activities, in particular, conducting literature reviews and conceptualization, proposing evaluation plan for interventions, facilitating data collection and analysis, paper-writing and conducting some knowledge exchange activities, and performing other duties as assigned. He/She will have ample opportunities to work with social workers, multidisciplinary professionals, and other stakeholders in the local community.
