Full-time Research Assistant I in the Faculty of Education (Ref.:532300) (to commence as soon as possible for one year)
Applicants should possess a Bachelor’s degree in any discipline. He/She should have an excellent command of written and spoken English and/or Chinese (Cantonese/Putonghua), capability and experience in one or more of the following areas:
(1) excellent literature review skills in international comparison (e.g., G20), emergent industries, and high-impact technology sectors
(2) excellent report writing skills in both English and Chinese for stakeholders, including HKSAR Government, public bodies, industry leaders, and academic institutions
(3) versatile IT skills, including website development and maintenance for public access and education
(4) excellent qualitative data analysis skills, including transcription, translation, data archiving, and thematic analysis of interview scripts
(5) good software, questionnaire design, data collection, and quantitative skills (including NVivo, SPSS, Twine, etc.)
The appointee will provide support to the Principal Investigator in:
- conducting international literature reviews on strategies for promoting VPET
- compiling and thematically analyzing strategies in (a), assisting in the formulation of a concept map for these strategies
- organizing, traveling for, and conducting interviews for data collection
- transcribing, translating, archiving data, and performing thematic analysis of interview scripts
- disseminating the recommendations derived from the project, including stakeholders and professional associations involved
- preparing detailed recommendations in a comprehensive report for relevant stakeholders and the HKSAR Government
- preparing policy briefs for targeted stakeholders and the HKSAR Government
- developing and maintaining a website (using own tools/freeware) to share reports, policy briefs, and references
- supporting the Principal Investigator in academic writing, including publications and journal submissions
- performing other duties as assigned by the Principal Investigator
