Demonstrator/Teaching Assistant in the Master of Arts in Chinese Historical Studies (MACHS) programme in the School of Chinese (Ref.: 532348) (to commence on August 15, 2025 or as soon as possible thereafter, on a two-year fixed-term basis with contract-end gratuity and University contribution to a retirement benefits scheme, totaling up to 10% of basic salary, with the possibility of renewal subject to funding availability and satisfactory performance)
Applicants should possess a MPhil degree or above in Chinese Historical Studies or a related field. Preference will be given to those with expertise in modern and contemporary Chinese history, Hong Kong history, as well as history of the Lingnan areas. Those with more experience in teaching and student consultations/supervision may be considered for the post of Demonstrator.
The appointee will support the teaching of MACHS and undergraduate courses, supervise dissertations, conduct tutorials and demonstrations, etc. Information on the structure, staff establishment, and course offerings of the School can be obtained at https://web.chinese.hku.hk.
