Applications are invited for appointment as Senior Lecturer/Lecturer in the School of Clinical Medicine and the School of Biomedical Sciences (Ref.: 532374) to commence as soon as possible, on a two-year fixed-term basis, with the possibility of renewal subject to satisfactory performance and funding availability.
Applicants should possess a doctoral degree in Biomedical Sciences, Medical and Health Sciences Education, Computer Science or a related discipline, with a keen understanding of the practical application of technology, particularly artificial intelligence (AI), in tertiary education. They are expected to have a proven record in successfully employing educational technology for teaching and learning activities, and show demonstrated ability in collaboration with other teachers to determine, design, implement and evaluate instructional strategies and solutions. A track record of publications in educational journals would be an advantage. The position offered depends on the level of expertise and years of teaching experience – at least 10 years for Senior Lecturer and 3 years for Lecturer.
The appointee will contribute to the development and teaching of courses on the impact of AI in healthcare, as well as other related subjects in Biomedical and Health Sciences in our undergraduate and/or postgraduate programmes. He/She will also take a leading role in developing and implementing various pedagogical initiatives utilizing the state-of-the art educational technology on the Faculty level.
A highly competitive salary commensurate with qualifications and experience will be offered, in addition to annual leave and medical benefits. At current rates, salaries tax does not exceed 15% of gross income. The appointment will attract a contract-end gratuity and University contribution to a retirement benefits scheme, totalling up to 15% of basic salary. Housing benefits will be provided as applicable for Senior Lecturer.
