Senior Executive Assistant, Research Communications and Support (at the rank of Clerk I) in the HKU Jockey Club Enterprise Sustainability Global Research Institute, Faculty of Business and Economics (Ref.: 532391) (to commence as soon as possible, on a two-year fixed-term basis, with contract-end gratuity and University contribution to a retirement benefits scheme, totaling up to 10% of basic salary, with the possibility of renewal subject to satisfactory performance)
The HKU Jockey Club Enterprise Sustainability Global Research Institute is a strategic collaboration between The University of Hong Kong (HKU) and The Hong Kong Jockey Club (HKJC). Its goal is to create a world-class hub and network of distinguished scholars in Governance and Sustainability worldwide. To achieve this, the Institute offers various forms of support, including grants and publicity, to its affiliated scholars.
Applicants should possess a bachelor’s degree or above in business administration or a related field, with at least 2 years of full-time working experience, preferably in events management, communications, marketing or a related field. Experience working in large corporates/public organisations and/or interacting with academic researchers are highly advantageous. Applicants should also have excellent verbal and written communication skills, in both Chinese and English.
The appointee will have the primary job responsibilities include, but not limited to, the following:
• Support in planning, organising and executing events and activities for the research community, including conferences and seminars;
• Contribute to marketing and communications efforts, including content creation and digital marketing;
• Coordinate with faculty, staff, and external partners (university, corporate, public sector) to ensure the smooth execution of the above initiatives;
• Provide administrative support for various projects and initiatives;
• Perform other duties as assigned by supervisors; and
• Work outside normal office hours may be required.
