Senior Technical Officer (holding the functional title of Embryologist) in the Department of Obstetrics and Gynaecology, School of Clinical Medicine (Ref.: 532393) (to commence as soon as possible, on a two-year fixed-term basis with contract-end gratuity and University contribution to a retirement benefits scheme, totalling up to 10% of basic salary, with the possibility of renewal subject to satisfactory performance)
Applicants should possess a Bachelor’s degree or above in Biochemistry, Biology, Biomedical Science or a related discipline, with at least 3 years of working experience in clinical IVF laboratory. Being registered as a medical laboratory technologist (MLT) would be an advantage.
The appointee will carry out routine embryologist's duties to provide ART services and conduct clinical research. He/She will work in the IVF laboratory managed by HKU in the Assisted Reproduction Unit at the University’s teaching hospitals. He/She will also be required to work on weekends/public holidays.
