Executive Officer in the Centre for Advanced Semiconductors and Integrated Circuits (Ref.: 532515)

We are looking for a high-calibre Executive Officer to join the newly established Centre for Advanced Semiconductors and Integrated Circuits (CASIC). The appointee will provide comprehensive administrative support to the Centre's daily operations.

The Role

Reporting to the Director of the Centre, the appointee will be responsible for a wide range of administrative duties. He/She will provide a full spectrum of administrative and secretarial support, assist in the day-to-day management of the Centre, and perform other duties as assigned. Key responsibilities include coordinating meetings and events, handling inquiries, maintaining records, liaising with internal and external stakeholders, and assisting with budget and procurement matters.

Qualifications and Qualities

  • A good Bachelor’s degree and preferably a Master’s degree;
  • Not less than 2 years’ experience in administration or related field, overseas study or work experience is an advantage;
  • Excellent communication skills in both English and Chinese (including Putonghua);
  • Professional skills and attributes to perform specialized duties such as IT proficiency in MS Office and database management;
  • Meticulous attention to details and good analytical and problem-solving skills;
  • Ability to multi-task and work independently without close supervision;
  • Good organizational skill, strong sense of ownership and the ability to work under pressure;
  • Strong interpersonal skills and a self-starter with a proactive attitude;
  • A good team player who can collaborate with different internal and external stakeholders of the University.

What We Offer

The appointment will be made on a fixed-term full-time contract for 2 years, to commence as soon as possible, with the possibility of renewal subject to satisfactory performance. A highly competitive salary commensurate with qualifications and experience will be offered, together with a contract-end gratuity and University contribution to a retirement benefits scheme at 10% of basic salary. Other benefits include annual leave and medical benefits.
