Programme Manager (at the rank of Executive Officer) / Executive Assistant (at the rank of Clerk II) in the Admissions Office of the Registry (Ref.: 532517) (to commence as soon as possible, on a two-year fixed-term basis with contract-end gratuity and University contribution to a retirement benefits scheme, totalling up to 10% of basic salary, and with the possibility of renewal)

 

Applicants should have a good Bachelor's degree with at least 4 years' work experience, preferably in the education sector or in public relations related fields.  They should have an excellent command of spoken and written English and Chinese, the ability to work independently with initiative, good organisational and communication skills, as well as an outgoing personality.  Applicants with less experience may be considered for appointment as Executive Assistant.

 

The appointee will be responsible for the planning and designing of the talented programmes for high school students in Hong Kong and overseas.  He/She will be responsible for the implementation and administration of student programmes and admissions events.  He/She will also be involved in the recruitment of students by devising specific outreach initiatives and liaising with key stakeholders to provide taster programmes for high school students.  Applicants with marketing experience in NGOS or higher education institutions in Hong Kong or overseas, who are genuinely interested in supporting high school students with their career development are preferred.  The appointee is also required to liaise with other departments of the University and external organisations, and perform any other duties as assigned by the Head of the Office.  He/She may be required to work outside office hours and on weekends.  Shortlisted candidates will be invited to attend a written test and an interview.
