Assistant Technical Manager in LKS Cryo-EM Laboratory of the Centre for PanorOmic Sciences (CPOS) (Ref.: 532668) (to commence as soon as possible, on a two-year fixed-term basis with contract-end gratuity and University contribution to a retirement benefits scheme, totalling up to 10% of basic salary, with the possibility of renewal subject to satisfactory performance)

Centre for PanorOmic Sciences (CPOS) is an academic research-support centre embracing multi-omics and big data biomedical research under the LKS Faculty of Medicine. The Role

  • Overseeing the daily operation of the LKS Cryo-EM Laboratory
  • Providing training to new users and offering technical support, advice, and troubleshooting for research projects
  • Managing document handling and preparing reports
  • Organizing events and seminars

Shortlisted candidates will be invited to attend an interview.  

Qualifications and Qualities

  • Master’s degree or above in Biology, Physics or other related disciplines in science and engineering
  • Prior experience in operating TEM, SEM, or Cryo-Electron Microscopy (Cryo-EM) or management of core laboratory is preferred
  • Self-motivated, responsible, good communication skills and enjoy team work
  • Proficiency in both written and spoken English and Chinese (including Putonghua)
  • Competency in using MS Office
