Senior Research Assistant in the Teaching and Learning Innovation Centre (TALIC) (Ref.: 532681) (to commence no later than 1 September 2025 for one year)

We are seeking a Senior Research Assistant to support the coordination of campus-wide programmes of 1) Learning Management Systems (e.g., Moodle), 2) Generative AI Chatbots, and 3) Course evaluation and formative assessment. We welcome applications from enthusiastic individuals who are looking for a meaningful way to develop and contribute their project management and/or research skills to improving higher education at HKU.

 

The Role

The appointee will be responsible for the duties as follows:

1. Management of multiple, simultaneous course-based research projects.

  • Data management (Collating, Cleaning, Organising)
  • Liaising with teachers within the university on a weekly basis.
  • Hiring, organising, and managing PG and UG student RAs in test creation
  • Creation of online resources

2. Contributing to literature reviews

3. Report writing for teachers of involved courses

 

Qualifications and Qualities

  • MPhil in Education (or related fields) or a Bachelor’s degree with similar capabilities, relevant skills and work experience
  • Good command of spoken and written English.
  • Experience with statistical programmes and packages (e.g., R, JMP, SPSS) would be an asset.
