Manager, Communications and Public Relations (at the rank of Executive Officer) in the Faculty of Business and Economics (Ref.: 532704) (to commence as soon as possible, on a two-year fixed-term basis, with contract-end gratuity and University contribution to a retirement benefits scheme, totalling up to 10% of basic salary, with the possibility of renewal subject to satisfactory performance) 
 
Applicants should possess a good bachelor’s degree, with about 8 years of full-time work experience in communications, public relations, marketing, or a related field.  They should have an excellent command of written and spoken Chinese (including Putonghua) and English; outstanding organisational, communication, project management and problem-solving skills; a high level of computer literacy; and the ability to multitask under pressure, work well both independently and in a team, as well as work with people from a broad range of backgrounds internally and externally.   A can-do attitude and strong prioritisation skills are essential.  Experience in managing social media platforms would be an advantage, particularly familiarity with China social media channels such as WeChat, Weibo, and Xiaohongshu. They should also be a keen learner with a curious mindset, willing to take that extra step to explore new ideas and contribute proactively.
 
The appointee will support the Faculty’s Communications and Public Relations Team in planning, developing and implementing corporate communications strategies for brand promotion.  Responsibilities of the appointee will include:
 
• Planning and implementing a variety of corporate events, including summits, ceremonies, seminars, workshops, conferences, guest visits, partnership development events and other activities;
• Providing full range of support on event management, including organisation, budgeting, scheduling, communication, logistics, coordination with various teams, on-site assistance, catering, and handling inquiries;
• Sourcing and negotiating with vendors, suppliers, and venues to secure necessary services and resources for events;
• Overseeing on-site event operations, including setup, coordination of staff and other project members, and troubleshooting any issues that may arise;
• Generating content and managing both online and offline communication materials for branding campaigns, such as advertisements, speeches, press releases, eDMs, presentations, booklets, videos, eDMs and multimedia posts for various channels to engage target audiences;
• Conducting post-event evaluations and analysis to assess against goals such as ROI and KPIs, and consolidating insights, areas for improvement, and best practices; and
• Undertaking any other duties assigned by the Faculty Office.
 
Shortlisted candidates will be invited to attend a written test and an interview.
