Research Assistant I in the Division of Neurology of the Department of Medicine, School of Clinical Medicine (Ref.: 532709)

We now invite applications for the captioned post for the development of SmartRehab.

Our mobile application, SmartRehab, is an AI-powered, automated telerehabilitation platform offering a comprehensive range of exercises for patients requiring neuro- and cardiopulmonary rehabilitation. As part of a project funded by the World Stroke Organisation, our platform is currently being utilized across various healthcare settings in eight countries. SmartRehab has received numerous awards both locally and internationally, including the Gold Medal with Congratulations of the Jury at the 49th International Exhibition of Inventions Geneva 2024.

Duties and Responsibilities

  • Design, develop and maintain high-quality web applications for iOS and Android platforms
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to understand project requirements and translate them into technical solutions
  • Write clean, efficient and well-documented code to ensure the scalability and maintainability of our mobile applications
  • Participate in the entire software development lifecycle, from ideation to deployment and beyond
  • Stay up-to-date with the latest mobile technologies, frameworks and best practices
  • Contribute to the continuous improvement and enhancement of our mobile application portfolio
  • Perform other duties as assigned

Requirements

  • A Bachelor’s degree or equivalent in Computer Science, Information Technology, with at least 1 year of working experience in mobile/web App
  • Hands-on experience with Kotlin, Java, React.js, and React Native using Mobile frameworks
  • Experience working on third-party libraries and APIs
  • Excellent analytical skills with a good problem-solving attitude
  • Passionate in the IT industry and interested in exploring new technologies
  • A good command of spoken and written English and Chinese

 

What We Offer

The appointment will commence as soon as possible on a 1-year temporary basis, with the possibility of renewal subject to satisfactory performance and funding availability.
