Technical Manager in the Department of Pathology, School of Clinical Medicine (Ref.: 532724) (to commence as soon as possible, on a two-year fixed-term basis with contract-end gratuity and University contribution to a retirement benefits scheme, totalling up to 10% of basic salary, with the possibility of renewal subject to satisfactory performance)
Applicants should possess a degree with at least 5 years’ experience in biobanking. Proficiency in working with xenograft models and organoid models are highly desirable. They should demonstrate an excellent command of written and spoken English, strong communication skills, and the ability to collaborate effectively within an interdisciplinary team. The ideal candidate will be self-motivated, hardworking, and committed to advancing scientific research. They should have a strong research background in Biomedical Sciences or Biological Science, with a preference for expertise in Cancer Biology, Molecular Biology, Genomics, Proteomics, or Single Cell Technology. They must have a demonstrated track record of publishing academic research papers and extensive experience in molecular biology laboratory techniques.
The appointee will handle cell isolation from clinical specimens, mammalian 3D organoid culture and immunostaining. He/She should have proven expertise in managing clinical patient samples and supervising junior technical staff.
