Full-time/Part-time Senior Research Assistant (holding the functional title of School Development Officer) in the Centre for Information Technology in Education within the Faculty of Education (Ref.: 532732).
To commence from September 1, 2025 to August 31, 2026.
Applicants should possess a Bachelor's degree in STEAM education, artificial intelligence, English language education, science, mathematics, information technology, engineering or a related discipline. They should have at least 4 years of teaching, school-based support, or project management experience. Strong communication skills, and proficiency in both written and spoken English and Chinese (Cantonese) are required. Preference will be given to candidates with advanced degrees in science education or related areas, a recognized teaching qualification, or those who have held leadership positions in schools.
The appointee will work on projects on STEAM, AI and language education. He/She is expected to provide school-based professional support to schools, and work closely with the project team to manage and coordinate different aspects of the project as outlined below:-
1. assist the project team with the design and implementation of professional development workshops for teachers and school leaders on STEAM education, artificial intelligence, science education, language education, self-directed learning and innovation leadership;
2. coordinate and liaise with different parties for the smooth implementation of the projects;
3. work collaboratively with project teachers in designing school-based curricula that integrate AI technologies and using self-directed learning strategies;
4. work independently in developing, implementing and evaluating school-based support plans for project schools;
5. nurture project schools’ multi-level innovation and leadership capacity;
6. draft school reports and case stories, develop design resources and project deliverables, conduct related qualitative and quantitative research (e.g. data collection and analysis); and
7. perform other duties as assigned.
