IT Officer (holding the functional title of System Analyst) in the Faculty of Business and Economics (Ref.: 532787) (to commence as soon as possible, on a two-year fixed-term basis, with contract-end gratuity and University contribution to a retirement benefits scheme, totalling up to 10% of basic salary, with the possibility of renewal subject to satisfactory performance)
Qualifications and Qualities:
• a bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Information Systems, or a related discipline;
• a minimum of 5 years of solid programming and system development experience;
• proficiency in programming languages including PHP, HTML, JQuery, and Python;
• sound knowledge of Artificial Intelligence (AI) technologies and their applications;
• excellent command of written and spoken English and Chinese;
• strong interpersonal skills, self-motivation, a strong sense of responsibility, and the ability to work effectively as part of a team; and
• ability to multitask and deliver satisfactory results within tight timeframes.
Key Responsibilities include but not limited to:
• developing and maintaining websites and in-house web applications for Master Programmes;
• independently collecting requirements, supporting user acceptance testing (UAT), and provide training;
• coordinating and liaising with external vendors for application development, defining functional specifications, and ensuring the quality of deliverables; and
• performing any other duties as assigned.
