Senior Executive Assistant/Executive Assistant (at the rank of Clerk I/II) in Department of Electrical and Electronic Engineering (Ref.: 532811) (to commence as soon as possible, on a two-year fixed-term basis with contract-end gratuity and University contribution to a retirement benefits scheme, totalling up to 10% of basic salary, with the possibility of renewal subject to satisfactory performance)

Applicants should possess a good Bachelor’s degree, with at least 2 years’ full-time administrative work experience, preferably in the tertiary education sector. They should have an excellent command of both written and spoken English and Chinese (including Putonghua); good organisational, interpersonal, communication and problem-solving skills; proficiency in IT and familiarity with office applications; ability to work independently and under pressure to meet tight deadlines. They should also have a strong sense of responsibility, attention to details and ability to multi-task.  Immediately available is preferred.

The appointee will be part of the administrative team providing comprehensive support to supervisor(s). Key responsibilities include:

  • Handling staff recruitment processes, including hiring, reappointment and promotions;
  • Handling compensation and benefits administration;
  • Assisting in HR activities such as onboarding new staff and coordinating staff training and development;
  • Maintaining staff records, data collection, filing and system updates;
  • Supporting finance and accounting task; and
  • Performing other duties as assigned by the Head of the Department or their delegates.
