Assistant Manager (at the rank of Executive Officer) in the Faculty of Engineering (Ref.: 532821) (to commence as soon as possible, on a two-year fixed-term basis, with contract-end gratuity and University contribution to a retirement benefits scheme, totalling up to 10% of basic salary, with the possibility of renewal)
Applicants should possess a recognized Bachelor’s degree and at least 3 years of solid work experience, preferably in tertiary institutions. They must demonstrate an excellent command of both written and spoken English and Chinese, with fluency in Putonghua. Strong interpersonal, supervisory, organizational, problem-solving, and communication skills are essential, along with the ability to multitask, work independently, and perform under pressure to meet tight deadlines. A strong sense of responsibility, attention to detail, and the ability to function effectively as a team player are also required. Experience in undergraduate programme administration, procurement, or student services within an educational setting would be an advantage.
The appointee will provide administrative support to the new education initiatives within the Engineering curriculum. This includes tasks such as course administration, procurement of equipment and materials (e.g., for workshops and prototyping activities), handling course enrolment, examinations, timetabling, and student-related matters, as well as other related responsibilities. The appointee may also be required to work outside normal office hours and undertake other duties as assigned.
