Administrative Assistant II in the Department of Politics and Public Administration (Ref.: 532895) (to commence as soon as possible, on a two-year fixed-term basis with contract-end gratuity and University contribution to a retirement benefits scheme, totalling up to 10% of basic salary, with the possibility of renewal subject to satisfactory performance)

Applicants should possess a good Bachelor's degree with at least 5 years' work experience at a supervisory level (or equivalent) preferably in the higher education sector or a public organisation.  They should have an excellent command of spoken and written English and Chinese; strong organizational and interpersonal skills; excellent time management, multi-tasking and problem-solving skills; and the ability to work independently and under pressure.  They should also have a good sense of tact in dealing with sensitive and confidential issues, including discreet handling of personal and confidential matters. 

The appointee will play a versatile role in overseeing the administrative work related to academic programmes, human resources and financial management, and special projects management.  He/She will provide general administrative and secretarial support on a wide range of matters including programmes administration, research administration, office management, meeting coordination, and logistics support for academic events, recruitment and appointment, promotion and tenure, personnel matters, budgeting and committee support; and perform any other duties as assigned.  Shortlisted candidates will be invited to attend a written test and an interview.  

A highly competitive salary commensurate with qualifications and experience will be offered, in addition to annual leave and medical benefits.
