Applications are invited for appointment as Post-doctoral Fellow in Epidemiology and Biostatistics in the School of Public Health (Ref.: 532936), to commence as soon as possible on temporary term basis for one or two years, with the possibility of renewal subject to satisfactory performance and funding availability.
Applicants should possess a Ph.D. degree in epidemiology or a related discipline, with a strong background in infectious disease epidemiology, surveillance and control. They should have excellent communication skills, experiences in knowledge sharing, a strong record of research output, and the ability to work independently as well as in a multidisciplinary team. Relevant research and work experience in infectious disease epidemiology would be desirable.
The appointee will work with a research team to study repeated influenza vaccination effects and correlates of protection, analyse large and complex datasets, and perform other duties as assigned. The Post-doctoral Fellow will work semi-independently under the supervision and mentorship of senior academic staff, have the opportunities to apply research funding, and present and publish their own research findings to their peers.
