We are looking for a Technical Manger I (holding the functional title of Contract Manager) to join the Estates Office.
The Role
To cope with the increasing workload across different projects, we are looking for a high caliber professional to join the team. The appointee will work in conjunction with the project management team and Finance and Enterprises Office to oversee the quantity surveying, contractual and financial aspects of the projects.

Qualifications and Qualities
Applicant should possess:
- Bachelor’s degree in Quantity Surveying or related disciplines, along with professional qualifications of HKIS or RICS, or equivalent;
- At least 8 years’ relevant experience with demonstrated leadership record in managing large-scale building, renovation, major alteration and improvement projects;
- A conversant understanding of the project cost estimation and benchmarking;
- Excellent experience in pre-contract and post-contract cost control, especially in MEP aspects and financial reporting for construction projects;
- Good communication and analytical skills, as well as the ability to work independently and develop solid relationship with internal and external stakeholders; and
- A valid Construction Industry Safety Training Certificate (Green Card) issued in accordance with Chapter 59 of the Factories and Industrial Undertakings Ordinance (i.e. by attending the relevant safety training courses which are recognized by the Commissioner for Labour), or equivalent.
Candidates with relevant experience in higher education facilities and campus development would have an advantage.
What We Offer
The appointment will be made on fixed-term full-time contract for 2 years, commencing as soon as possible with the possibility of renewal subject to satisfactory performance. A highly competitive salary commensurate with qualifications and experience will be offered, together with contract-end gratuity and University contribution to a retirement benefits scheme at 10% of basic salary.
