IT Manager in the Faculty of Business and Economics (Ref.: 533024) (to commence as soon as possible, on a two-year fixed-term basis, with contract-end gratuity and University contribution to a retirement benefits scheme, totalling up to 10% of basic salary, with the possibility of renewal subject to satisfactory performance)
 
Qualifications and Qualities:
 
• A bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Information Systems, or a related discipline.
• A minimum of 10 years of solid programming and system development experience.
• Solid experience in Artificial Intelligence (AI) technologies and their applications.
• Proficiency in programming languages including Python, PHP, HTML and JQuery.
• Excellent command of written and spoken English and Chinese.
• Strong interpersonal skills, self-motivation, a strong sense of responsibility, and the ability to work effectively as part of a team.
• Ability to multitask and deliver satisfactory results within tight timeframes.
• Proven experience in managing IT teams and projects.
 
Key Responsibilities:
 
• Oversee the development and maintenance of in-house AI related applications.
• Independently collect requirements, support user acceptance testing (UAT), and provide training.
• Coordinate and liaise with internal units and external vendors for application development, define functional specifications, and ensure the quality of deliverables.
• Manage and lead a team, ensuring effective collaboration and performance.
• Develop and implement IT policies and procedures to ensure data security and compliance.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
