Executive Officer / Clerk II (holding the functional title of Programme Manager / Executive Assistant) in the Academic Liaison Office of the Registry (Ref.: 533165) (to commence as soon as possible on a two-year fixed-term basis, with contract-end gratuity and University contribution to a retirement benefits scheme, totalling up to 10% of basic salary, and with the possibility of renewal)

The Academic Liaison Office, which includes International Affairs Office, Mainland Affairs Office and HKU Summer Institute, is dedicated to promoting academic exchanges and fostering collaboration with Mainland and overseas institutions.  

Applicants should have a good Bachelor's degree with at least 2 years’ work experience, preferably in the education sector.  An excellent command of spoken and written English and Chinese is required, and fluency in Putonghua would be an advantage.  They should also be a good team player with effective organisational and communication skills.  

The appointee is expected to engage in administering exchange programmes organised by the International Affairs Office, and design new programmes for the University.  He/She is also required to coordinate the logistics of international conferences, liaise with faculties and departments of the University and overseas institutions, and perform any other duties as assigned by the Office Head.  Experience in exchange programmes and international events in tertiary education institutions would be an advantage.  Shortlisted candidates will be invited to attend a written test and an interview.  Applicants with lower qualifications and/or less experience may be considered for the position of Executive Assistant.

A highly competitive salary commensurate with qualifications and experience will be offered, in addition to annual leave and medical benefits.
