IT Technician / Senior IT Assistant (2 posts) in the Department of Paediatrics and Adolescent Medicine, School of Clinical Medicine (Ref.: 533214) (to commence as soon as possible on a two-year fixed-term basis with contract-end gratuity and University contribution to a retirement benefits scheme, totalling up to 10% of basic salary, with the possibility of renewal subject to funding availability and satisfactory performance) 

Applicants should hold a Higher Diploma or above in Information and Communications Technology, Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or a related field. They must demonstrate strong proficiency in both spoken and written English, possess the ability to work independently, and exhibit a high level of responsibility. They should also have knowledge of webpage design, software support, and network security, as well as practical skills in video editing and graphic design using tools such as Adobe Illustrator, Photoshop, and Adobe Premiere. Familiarity with Artificial Intelligence (AI) tools for video editing, graphic design, and streamlining office routines is highly desirable. Experience with social media techniques and dissemination methods will be considered an advantage. They should also be experienced in troubleshooting computer hardware and software, and have a working knowledge of web development languages such as JavaScript, CSS, PHP, HTML, and SQL. Experience in video production for AR 360 filming, VR, and XR is an advantage.

The appointees will be responsible for maintaining computing hardware and facilities, managing the departmental website, and providing technical support to staff. He/She including but not limited to photo and video capture, conference setup, database creation. Other responsibilities include developing and enhancing a variety of web-based applications and resources, such as systems that integrate images with electronic patient records and searchable databases. Working outside office hours and on weekends may be required occasionally. Those with less experience will be considered for appointment as Senior IT Assistant.
