Senior Technical Officer in the Department of Mechanical Engineering (Ref.: 533251) (to commence as soon as possible, on a two-year fixed-term basis with contract-end gratuity and University contribution to a retirement benefits scheme, totaling up to 10% of basic salary, with the possibility of renewal)
Applicants should possess a recognized Degree/Higher Diploma or equivalent in Mechanical Engineering or a related discipline. They should be experienced in CAE software such as AutoCAD and SolidWorks. Experience in CNC programming, 3D printing and/or workshop machining are preferred. Relevant working experience in the industry and/or tertiary education will be advantageous. They should also have a good command of written and spoken Chinese and English; be self-confident, independent, collegial and ready to work under pressure. The appointee will provide comprehensive technical services in teaching and research activities, laboratory and safety management, equipment procurement and maintenance, prepare and maintain technical documentations; offer technical assistance and training to laboratory/makerspace users; maintain inventory records and perform other duties as assigned.
