Post-doctoral Fellow in the School of Biological Sciences, The University of Hong Kong (Ref.:533371), to commence on Jan 1st, 2026 for two years, with the possibility of renewal.

The postdoctoral fellow position will work on chromosome biology, chromatin dynamics, epigenetics, cell cycle regulation upon environmental stresses using genomics, genetics, cell biology and biochemistry approaches, under the supervision of Dr. Karen Yuen (kwyyuen@hku.hk). We are looking for a PhD in the above subject area and a proven track record of productivity. Experiences in microscopy, genomic, and bioinformatic analysis will be an asset.

Duties and Responsibilities

· Perform independent, interdisciplinary cell biology, molecular biology research in model organisms or cells

· Collect, analyse data and communicate with researchers in other disciplines

· prepare manuscripts and assist with grant applications

· assist in outreach and knowledge exchange events

· perform other duties as assigned

Requirements

· a Ph.D. degree in Cell Biology, Molecular Biology, Genetics, Genomics, Biochemistry or related disciplines

· independent research skills and capability

· good organizational and communication skills

· an excellent command of written and spoken English

· a strong sense of responsibility

· attentive to details

· experience in project coordination is preferred, but not essential

A highly competitive salary commensurate with qualifications and experience will be offered, in addition to annual leave and medical benefits. At current rates, salaries tax does not exceed 15% of gross income.
