Clerk II in the Department of Orthopaedics and Traumatology, School of Clinical Medicine (Ref.: 533689) (to commence as soon as possible, on a two-year fixed-term basis or one-year temporary basis, with the possibility of renewal subject to satisfactory performance)

Applicants should possess 5 passes in HKCEE, including English (min. Grade C if Syllabus A/Level 2 from 2007), Chinese (Level 2 from 2007) and Mathematics, OR min. Level 2 or equivalent in 5 subjects in HKDSEE including English Language, Chinese Language and Mathematics, with at least 1 year of relevant work experience, preferably in a tertiary institution.  They should have a good command of written and spoken English and Chinese (fluency in Putonghua would be an advantage); a strong sense of responsibility; the ability to work independently and under pressure to meet tight deadlines; and the capability to prioritize multiple tasks efficiently.  They should also be attentive to details and self-motivated.  Proficiency in PC and application software (including MS Word, Excel, and PowerPoint) is essential.  Fresh graduates are also welcome.

The appointee will provide administrative support for undergraduate/postgraduate programmes, including processing applications, assisting with course arrangements, academic coordination, and interacting with prospective candidates, students, teachers and other stakeholders.  He/She may also be required to assist with general office administration, handle enquiries, undertake specific or general clerical tasks and perform other duties as assigned.  Shortlisted candidates will be invited to attend a written test and an interview.

A highly competitive salary commensurate with qualifications and experience will be offered, in addition to annual leave and medical benefits.  The appointment on fixed-term basis will attract a contract-end gratuity and University contribution to a retirement benefits scheme, totalling up to 10% of basic salary.
