Applications are invited for appointment as Principal Lecturer/Senior Lecturer/Lecturer for the PCLL programme, Faculty of Law (Ref.: 533740), to commence as soon as possible, on a three-year fixed-term basis, renewable on the basis of performance.

The Faculty of Law is the longest established law school in Hong Kong. It plays a leading role in legal education in Hong Kong and Asia, through its various undergraduate, research postgraduate, and taught postgraduate programmes including the PCLL, covering a wide range of legal subject areas. It is the largest and oldest law teaching institution in Hong Kong, currently consisting of over 80 teaching members and over 2,500 undergraduate and postgraduate students. 

Applicants should possess a degree in Law or an equivalent professional qualification, along with at least 5 years of legal practice experience in Hong Kong.  In addition, they are expected to be capable of teaching subjects that form part of the PCLL programme as required with reference to the needs of the Faculty.  Further information about the Faculty and the PCLL programme can be obtained at http://www.law.hku.hk/.

A highly competitive salary commensurate with qualifications and experience will be offered, together with contract-end gratuity and University contribution to a retirement benefits scheme at 15% of basic salary.  Other benefits include annual leave and professional leave, medical benefits, and free access to on-campus gyms and libraries.  Housing benefits will be provided to Principal Lecturers and Senior Lecturers, as applicable.
