Manager (Student Outreach), Masters Programmes (at the rank of Executive Officer) in the Faculty of Business and Economics (Ref.: 533760) (to commence as soon as possible, on a two-year fixed-term basis, with contract-end gratuity and University contribution to a retirement benefits scheme, totalling up to 10% of basic salary, with the possibility of renewal subject to satisfactory performance)
 
Applicants should possess a good bachelor’s degree, with at least 3 years of full-time work experience, preferably in tertiary institution, education sector or social service organization.  They should be a self-starter with a positive attitude; have an excellent command of written and spoken English and Chinese (inlcuding Putonghua) would be a definite advantage; and be able to multi-task, attentive to detail and work well both independently as well as in a team. Passion for working with youth and young adults would be an advantage.
 
The appointee will provide support to the Faculty’s Masters Programmes Alumni and Student Services Team. This position is act as a Housemaster, working closely with the Assistant Director (Chief Housemaster) to cultivate an inclusive and engaged student community. The appointee will assist in overseeing daily operations, organizing outreach initiatives, and enhancing student bonding through collaboration with housemasters, vice housemasters, counsellors, and various stakeholders.
 
Key responsibilities include:
 
• managing the overall Virtual House system, ensuring its effectiveness in promoting student engagement, cultural diversity, and sense of community;
• organizing and implementing training programs for House committees and members to strengthen their effectiveness and build belonging within the student body;
• planning and executing regular house gatherings and student-led events to build community spirit and deepen connections among Master’s students; and
• supervising vice housemasters, providing support and guidance to help them achieve their goals and objectives.
 
He/She will also perform other duties as assigned. The appointee will work at the Faculty’s Cyberport campus, and may be required to work outside normal office hours and on weekends, and travel to overseas or Chinese Mainland occasionally.  Shortlisted candidates will be invited to attend a written test and an interview.
 
A highly competitive salary commensurate with qualifications and experience will be offered, in addition to annual leave and medical benefits.
