Applications are invited for appointment as Research Assistant II in the Department of Paediatrics and Adolescent Medicine, School of Clinical Medicine (to commence in December for one year, with the possibility of renewal subject to satisfactory performance).
Applicants should have a bachelor's or master's degree in biological or medical sciences, or a related discipline. An interest in human genomics and/or clinically oriented translational research is essential. Prior experience with cell culture, patient-derived cells or iPSC-differentiated cell types will be an advantage. Applicants should be self-motivated, detail-oriented, eager to learn, responsible, able to work both independently and in a team, fluent in written and spoken English, and possess strong communication skills.
The appointee will conduct laboratory work and contribute to multi-omics research projects under the supervision of Dr. Brian Chung.
Successful candidates will build a strong foundation in essential genomics research skills while contributing to high-impact studies, with prospects to co-author publications and present findings at international conferences.
