Assistant Registrar in the Academic Support and Examinations Section of the Registry (Ref.: 533843)
The Role
The appointee will lead the Academic Services Office to oversee matters related to the processing and distribution of University official documents, e.g. degree certificates, transcripts, testimonials, etc.; provision of academic support services to students and alumni; development of the Academic Certificate Verification Platform (ACVP) Blockchain project; provide administrative support by acting as Secretary for a number of University committees; and perform any other duties as assigned by the supervisors. He/She may be required to work outside normal office hours and on weekends.
Qualifications and Qualities
Applicants should possess a good Bachelor's degree with at least 10 years' work experience at supervisory level, preferably in tertiary institutions. They should have an excellent organisational, interpersonal, communication and problem-solving skills; the ability to multitask under pressure with a high level of independence and self-motivation; a strong sense of responsibility; and an excellent command of both written and spoken English and Chinese (including Putonghua). They should also possess a good record of policy formulation and implementation, good IT knowledge, committee secretaryship, and staff management experience.
What We Offer
The appointment will be made on a full-time fixed-term contract for two years, to commence as soon as possible with the possibility of renewal subject to satisfactory performance. A highly competitive salary commensurate with qualifications and experience will be offered, together with a contract-end gratuity and University contribution to a retirement benefits scheme at 15% of basic salary.
