Research Assistant I/II in the School of Computing and Data Science (several posts) (Ref.: 533882) (to commence as soon as possible, on a one-year temporary-term basis with the possibility of renewal subject to satisfactory performance and funding availability)

To support the rapid growth of the School of Computing and Data Science (CDS), we are seeking highly motivated individuals who are eager to build their career path in higher education or high-tech sector. The Role 

The appointee will play a key role in supporting the School’s administration and operations. We are looking for candidates with experience in, or a strong interest in developing their skills for, one or more of the following areas:

  • Handle finance and accounts functions
  • Manage relation with the public, students, and internal stakeholders
  • Provide professional office support and lead office management
  • Support end-to-end marketing and event campaigns (planning, execution, and evaluation)
  • Execute the operational delivery and strategic development of academic programmes

Qualifications and Qualities

  • A recognized degree; candidates with experience in customer service, reception, operational support, data entry, secretarial work, or accounts payable are encouraged to apply
  • Good command of written and spoken English and Chinese (including both Cantonese and Mandarin)
  • Strong problem-solving, communication, and teamwork skills
  • Self-motivated with a willingness to learn
  • Ability to multitask and work independently
  • Proactive, detail-oriented, and computer literate

What We Offer 

A highly competitive salary commensurate with qualifications and experience will be offered, together with annual leave and medical benefits. The appointment will be made on temporary full-time contract for 1 year, to commence as soon as possible, with the possibility of renewal subject to satisfactory performance and funding availability.
