Applications are invited for appointment as Senior Research Assistant / Research Assistant I in the Department of Social Work and Social Administration (ref.: 533958), to commence as soon as possible for one year, with the possibility of renewal.
Applicants should possess a Bachelor's degree or above in Social Sciences, Social Work, Psychology, Public Health, or related disciplines. They should demonstrate a strong sense of responsibility, good organizational and interpersonal skills, and the ability to work independently, collaboratively within a team, and with external partners. A good command of both written and spoken English and Chinese (including Cantonese) is essential. Candidates applying for the position of Senior Research Assistant should have at least three years of post-qualification research experience.
The appointees will assist the Principal Investigator in implementing a research project focused on dementia intervention and community capacity building. Responsibilities include participant recruitment; quantitative and qualitative data collection, management, and analysis; preparation of training materials and presentations; liaison with community partners; report writing, and other duties as assigned. On-the-job training related to dementia intervention, data management, and analysis will be provided. Experience in social sciences research, statistical software usage, and/or volunteer training will be considered as an advantage. Candidates with less experience may be appointed as Research Assistant I. Short-listed candidates will be invited to attend an interview and a written test.
