Senior Technical Officer/Technical Officer (holding the functional title of Medical Laboratory Technician I/II) in the Department of Pathology, School of Clinical Medicine (Ref.: 533993) (to commence as soon as possible, on a two-year fixed-term basis with contract-end gratuity and University contribution to a retirement benefits scheme, totalling up to 10% of basic salary, with the possibility of renewal subject to funding availability and satisfactory performance)
Applicants should have a university degree in Medical Laboratory or an Ordinary Certificate in Medical Laboratory Science from HKU SPACE or equivalent, along with Part I/II registration with Hong Kong Medical Laboratory Technician Board. Experience in histopathology or cytopathology would be an advantage. Applicants should also demonstrate the ability to work independently and as a team player in a multidisciplinary environment, and possess a good command of spoken and written Chinese and English and competency in MS Office applications. The appointee will assist in histopathology and cytopathology duties. Applicants with lower qualifications and/or less experience may be considered for appointment as Technical Officer.
A highly competitive salary commensurate with qualifications and experience will be offered, in addition to annual leave and medical benefits.
