Part-Time Student Research Assistant in the HKU-Pasteur Research Pole of School of Public Health (Ref: 534019) (to commence as soon as possible for 3 months, with the possibility of renewal subject to funding availability and satisfactory performance)
Applicants should be current undergraduate or postgraduate students in public health, epidemiology, medical sciences, nursing or other health-related disciplines. They should have a good command of written and spoken English and Chinese (including Cantonese and Putonghua), the ability to multi-task, and to work discretely when handling confidential data. They should be a good communicator with passion and self-motivation for research. Experience with participant recruitment and follow-up and/or conducting a systematic review and meta-analysis would be an advantage.
The appointee will assist in studies on the impact of climate change on skin health. He/she will assist with (i) recruitment and participant follow-up, (ii) conducting a systematic review and meta-analysis, and (iii) performing other duties as assigned. He/she will be expected to work during daytime on weekdays for not more than 15 hours per week. This role provides an excellent training opportunity for those who are interested in public health research, particularly in the area of climate change and health.
