Research Assistant I/II in the School of Chinese Medicine (Ref:534076) (to commence as soon as possible for one year, with the possibility of renewal subject to funding availability and satisfactory performance)
Applicants should possess a Bachelor's degree or higher in pharmacology, pharmaceutical sciences, molecular biology, biochemistry, immunology, bioengineering, chemistry or a related discipline. Applicants should have a solid background in preclinical research, nanoparticle/nanogel formulation, and breast cancer studies, with experience in advanced cell culture techniques and in vivo imaging and tracking modalities for drug delivery assessment. They should demonstrate the ability to conduct high-quality research in biological or chemical sciences, as well as in grant applications and funding proposals. Prior experience in nanotechnology or nanomedicine, and analytical techniques in LC-MS, HPLC, and NMR is preferred. Proficiency in molecular and cellular biology techniques, IT and data management tools, and an excellent command of written and spoken English and Chinese is required.
The appointee will assist in research projects related to drug delivery, nanomedicine, and advanced therapeutics in breast cancer. He / She will be involved in model design, will develop innovative strategies and will conduct both in vitro and in vivo studies; prepare publications and reports; and perform other duties as assigned under the PI’s supervision.
