Research Assistant I/II in the Department of Family Medicine and Primary Care (Ref.: 534081) (to commence as soon as possible for one year, with the possibility of renewal subject to funding availability and satisfactory performance)
Applicants should possess a Higher Diploma or Bachelor’s degree in Health Science, Social Science, Psychology, or a related discipline. They should also have a good command of English and Chinese (including Cantonese), and good analytical, administrative and organizational skills. Previous work experience involving health assessment, health promotion, program coordination and contacts with patients/clients would be advantageous. The appointee will work on a primary care research project amongst the South Asian populations in Hong Kong. S/he will work with a registered nurse to deliver an outreach nurse-led clinic service in screening for chronic diseases such as diabetes, hyperlipidaemia and hypertension amongst the South Asian populations in Hong Kong together with Non-Government Organizations, connecting the participants to appropriate healthcare services, working with other healthcare professionals to deliver various therapeutic lifestyle modification activities, conducting social prescribing, helping with data collection and management.
