Full-time/Part-time Research Assistant II in Faculty of Business and Economics (Ref.: 534090)

We now invite applications for appointment as Research Assistant II in Economics in the Faculty of Business and Economics.

 

Duties and Responsibilities

The appointee will assist with academic research in macroeconomics and international economics. Responsibilities include conducting literature reviews, gathering and managing data, solving macroeconomic models, and preparing materials for presentations and draft manuscripts. For research-related tasks, knowledge of graduate-level macroeconomics (e.g., solving dynamic models) and proficiency in software such as MATLAB, Stata, or Python are highly desirable. Students who are planning to apply to a PhD program, are currently in a Master’s/PhD program and seeking a research topic or have recently completed a Master’s/PhD program will greatly benefit from this experience.

Requirements

Applicants should possess a Bachelor’s degree or above in Economics, Finance, Statistics, or a related field. Priority will be given to applicants who are enrolled in or have recently completed a master’s degree, or who possess equivalent skills or above.

 

What We Offer

The appointment will commence on February 16, 2026, or as soon as possible for six months, with the possibility of renewal subject to funding availability and satisfactory performance.

A highly competitive salary commensurate with qualifications and experience will be offered, in addition to annual leave and medical benefits.
