Executive Officer in the HKU Musketeers Foundation Institute of Data Science (Ref.:534144) (to commence as soon as possible, on a two-year fixed-term basis with contract-end gratuity and University contribution to a retirement benefits scheme, totalling up to 10% of basic salary, with the possibility of renewal subject to satisfactory performance)
Applicants should possess a strong Bachelor's degree, preferably in journalism, communications, or a related discipline, along with at least 4 years of relevant work experience in the context of tertiary education institutions or the media/corporate communications sector. They should have a good command of written and spoken English and Chinese (including Putonghua), along with proficiency in computer applications and have a sound understanding of AI-related trends. The appointee must be able to work both independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment, effectively managing multiple priorities and responding to ad hoc requests. A proven track record in managing social media channels is essential. Occasional work outside normal office hours, including weekends, and travel outside Hong Kong may be required.
The appointee will manage the institute’s outreach events and activities, such as seminars, workshops, conferences, and short-term programmes. He/she will provide a wide spectrum of administrative support and event and marketing management to the Institute under the supervision of the Assistant Director, including:
- Planning, organizing, and executing seminars, workshops, and conferences initiated by the Institute, including logistical arrangements, budgeting, and coordination with internal and external stakeholders;
- Leading content planning and development across multiple platforms (e.g., Facebook, Instagram, WeChat, Red Note), and exploring new promotional opportunities;
- Managing and updating website and e-newsletter content to ensure accuracy and timeliness;
- Receiving delegations and visitors of the Institute;
- Handling marketing, admissions, enquiries, logistics, and alumni engagement for non-degree programmes launched by the Institute; and
- Participating in ad hoc projects and performing other duties as assigned by the Director.
