Assistant Registrar (Strategic Planning Unit) in the President’s Office (Ref.: 534184)
We are seeking a high-calibre professional with exceptional skills and potential to join the President’s Office as Assistant Registrar.
The Role
The appointee will serve in the Strategic Planning Unit providing support to the Provost and the senior management. Key responsibilities include supporting the development and monitoring of University strategy implementation, particularly in the areas of budgeting and resourcing, academic planning and development, and other strategic initiatives of the University.
Qualifications and Qualities
Applicants should have a good Bachelor’s degree with at least 10 years’ relevant administrative experience, preferably in tertiary education. They should be self-motivated with a strong sense of responsibility and demonstrate a capacity for independent action. They should also have an excellent command of written and spoken English and Chinese, strong communication skills and good computer literacy. Expertise in critical analysis, numeracy, data analysis and problem-solving will be an advantage. A good understanding of the University’s budget allocation mechanism is highly desirable.
What We Offer
The appointment will be made on fixed-term full-time contract for two or three years, to commence as soon as possible, with the possibility of renewal subject to satisfactory performance. A highly competitive salary commensurate with qualifications and experience will be offered, together with contract-end gratuity and University contribution to a retirement benefits scheme totalling up to 15% of basic salary. Other benefits include annual leave and medical benefits. Housing benefits will be provided as applicable.
