Research Assistant II in the Department of Diagnostic Radiology, School of Clinical Medicine (Ref.:533925) (to commence as soon as possible for one year or more, with the possibility of renewal subject to funding availability and satisfactory performance)
Applicants should possess a Bachelor’s degree, preferably in Biomedical Sciences/Engineering, Computer Science or a related discipline. Experience in medical research, particularly in patient recruitment studies, medical imaging, biobank research and/or big data would be preferred. They should have proficiency in written and spoken English and Chinese (including Putonghua), a willingness to learn new skills, and the ability to handle multiple tasks in a collaborative team environment.
The appointee will be working as an integral part of the funded project on radiomics for cancer and neurodegenerative disease. The work includes subject and patient recruitment (via telephone/emails), arranging for scan appointments, performing basic questionnaires and bedside clinical testing, maintaining a database for the study, and basic descriptive data analysis. The main workplace will be the HKU MRI unit.
