Executive Assistant (at the rank of Clerk II) in the Department of Chemistry (Ref.:534693) (to commence as soon as possible, on a two-year fixed-term basis with contract-end gratuity and University contribution to a retirement benefits scheme, totalling up to 10% of basic salary, with the possibility of renewal subject to satisfactory performance)

Applicants should possess a Bachelor’s degree in any discipline with 1-2 years’ work experience in administration. They should have a good command of written and spoken English and Chinese (including Cantonese and Putonghua); appropriate level of IT skills (especially in MS Excel, Word, and PowerPoint); and good communication, organizational and interpersonal skills.  They should also have a strong sense of responsibility, the ability to multitask, and work independently under pressure; be a good team player and attentive to details.  Those with relevant work experience in tertiary institutions or public sector are preferred.  

The appointee will assist in programme administration and perform ad-hoc and non-routine tasks assigned by the Department.  He/She will also provide general administrative support in the Department, including HR matters and programmes-related enquiries and documentation, and perform any other duties as assigned.  Shortlisted candidates will be invited to attend a written test and an interview. 

A highly competitive salary commensurate with qualifications and experience will be offered, in addition to annual leave and medical benefits.
