Part-time Nursing Officer/ Nurse (several posts) in the Department of Orthopaedics and Traumatology, School of Clinical Medicine (Ref.: 534710) (to commence as soon as possible for one year, with the possibility of renewal subject to satisfactory performance and funding availability)

Applicants should be registered with the Nursing Council of Hong Kong or possess an equivalent qualification, with at least 3 years’ post-registration supervisory experience.  A Postgraduate Diploma or Master’s degree in a nursing-related discipline is highly desirable.  Knowledge of and experience in providing quality healthcare services in the Orthopaedics clinical area will be an advantage.  Applicants should demonstrate strong managerial and supervisory skills while maintaining excellent nursing standards.  They should also possess strong communication, organizational, and problem-solving skills; and the ability to multi-task, work independently, and collaborate effectively in a team under pressure.  Those with less experience may be considered for appointment as Nurse.

The appointees will be responsible for providing support in the following areas:

  • daily clinic activities, including patient services and administrative processes;
  • enhancing operational efficiency and patients satisfaction;
  • general nursing duties, such as drug dispensing, managing medical inventory and maintaining clinical equipment to ensure operational readiness;
  • procurement, inventory control, stock replenishment, and vendor management;
  • quality assurance and implementing continuous improvement practices;
  • ensuring full compliance with licensing and accreditation requirements for medical, physiotherapy, and fitness services, while upholding safety and quality standards; and
  • coordinating the conduct of clinical research studies.  

Working outside normal office hours and on weekends may be required as per operational needs.

A highly competitive salary commensurate with qualifications and experience will be offered, in addition to annual leave and medical benefits, if applicable.
