Senior Technical Officer in the Faculty of Engineering (Ref.: 534715) (to commence as soon as possible, on a two-year fixed-term basis with contract-end gratuity and University contribution to a retirement benefits scheme, totalling up to 10% of basic salary, with the possibility of renewal)

Applicants should hold a Bachelor’s degree or above in Engineering-related discipline, preferably with at least 3 years of solid work experience in the related field. Proficiency in English and Chinese (including Putonghua) is required. They should demonstrate strong communication skills with enthusiasm in working with students. They should be self-motivated, independent, and able to work and coordinate effectively as part of a team. They should be skilled in robotics, GenAI, or IoT application development and able to design and deploy applications on their own. Experience in makerspace or supervising student projects would be an asset.

The appointee will lead a technical team that supports student experiential learning. Their responsibilities include conducting training workshops to enhance students’ technical competencies, managing procurement and inventory, and participating in undergraduate projects by collaborating with external partners. Additionally, they will provide technical guidance to students in fields such as robotics, AI, and IoT, coordinate interns for successful project completion, supervise daily operations and equipment maintenance, enforce safety protocols, and handle tasks assigned by the Director of the Innovation Wing.

A highly competitive salary commensurate with qualifications and experience will be offered, in addition to annual leave and medical benefits.
