Student Affairs Assistant I (at the rank of Clerk II) in the Centre of Development and Resources for Students (CEDARS) (Ref. 534753) (to commence as soon as possible, on a two-year fixed-term basis with contract-end gratuity and University contribution to a retirement benefits scheme, totalling up to 10% of basic salary, with the possibility of renewal subject to funding availability and satisfactory performance).
Applicants should possess a recognized university degree or diploma with at least 2 year’s full-time work experience, preferably in tertiary institutions and public organisation setting. Ideal applicants should have an excellent command of spoken and written English and Chinese (proficiency in Putonghua is an advantage); strong interpersonal skills; solid skills in customer service, problem-solving, organisation, and time management; and be self-motivated, detail-oriented, and able to work independently as well as in a team. Experience in managing social media platforms (e.g., Instagram and Facebook) and basic knowledge of facility operations would be distinct advantages.
The appointees will support the daily operations and student engagement activities for Fong Shu Chuen Amenities Centre and Chong Yuet Ming Amenities Centre under the Centre of Development and Resources for Students (CEDARS); handle a variety of administrative and promotional tasks to enhance student experience and facility usage; manage and update social media channels (e.g., Instagram, Facebook) for the centres; handle student and staff enquiries through various channels (email, phone, in-person, online platforms); and undertake any other duties as assigned by the Facilities Manager or CEDARS. Working outside normal office hours will be required.
