IT Officer, Information Systems Unit in the Finance and Enterprises Office (Ref.: 534859)
Applications are invited for appointment as IT Officer in the dynamic Information Systems Unit (ISU) within the Finance and Enterprises Office (FEO). The team, comprising numerous professionals with expertise across various business and IT domains, provides essential technical support services and manages university-wide financial applications.
The Role
The appointee will be responsible for:
- Collaborating with team members, business users, vendors, and central IT teams on system implementation, enhancements, and best practices;
- Participating in Oracle ERP related projects and providing ongoing support, covering both Oracle E‑Business Suite (EBS) and Oracle Fusion Cloud applications;
- Supporting requirement analysis, data conversion, integration, report development, testing, configuration, application system administration, and documentation;
- Implementing and supporting various departmental and enterprise‑wide applications;
- Providing IT support and troubleshooting for end users; and
- Completing other IT-related duties
Qualifications and Qualities
- A recognised Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology or a related discipline with at least 5 years of working experience in user support, data extraction (e.g., using SQL-related tools), system implementation, or testing on Oracle E-Business Suite or Oracle Cloud Applications, particularly Oracle General Ledger or Oracle Fusion Cloud Procure-to-Pay (P2P) process;
- Hands‑on skills with SQL tools, BI or dashboard technologies (e.g., Power BI, QlikSense), programming for automation, and Oracle Discoverer are strong advantages;
- A good team player with innovative thinking, effective communication skills, strong interpersonal abilities, and a high sense of responsibility; and
- Ability to learn quickly, work independently, and multitask efficiently.
What We Offer
The appointment will be made on fixed-term full-time contract for 2 years, to commence as soon as possible with the possibility of renewal. A highly competitive salary commensurate with qualifications and experience will be offered, together with contract-end gratuity and University contribution to a retirement benefits scheme at 10% of basic salary.
