Research Assistant I/II in the AIDS Institute of the Department of Microbiology, School of Clinical Medicine (Ref.: 534935) (to commence as soon as possible for one year, with the possibility of renewal subject to satisfactory performance)
Applicants should possess a Bachelor’s degree or above in Immunology/Microbiology or a related discipline, preferably with laboratory work experience in molecular biology, immunological assays, primary cell culture, handling of small animals, and/or computer knowledge such as Linux and R. They should be self-motivated and have experience in performing laboratory routines and thorough laboratory bookkeeping.
The appointee will work on laboratory experiments and data analysis under the supervision of a Principal Investigator of the Institute. Research areas will include: the assessment of vaccines, the development of novel immunotherapeutic strategies, and the investigation on metabolic regulation, in the context of infectious diseases.
