Assistant Manager (at the rank of Executive Officer) in the Faculty of Social Sciences (Ref: 534961) (to commence as soon as possible, on a two-year fixed-term basis, with contract-end gratuity and University contribution to a retirement benefits scheme, totalling up to 10% of basic salary, with the possibility of renewal subject to satisfactory performance).

Applicants should possess a good Bachelor's degree with at least 4-6 years of post-qualification work experience in a supervisory role.  They should have an excellent command of written and spoken English and Chinese (including Putonghua), with strong organisational, interpersonal, communication, time management, and problem-solving skills, and keen attention to detail. They should also be able to work independently and collaboratively as part of a team, manage multiple task under pressure to meet tight deadlines.

The appointee will provide high-level administrative, coordination, and secretarial support to the Faculty’s senior administrators, contributing to the effective operation of the Faculty’s central administration. The role includes a broad range of responsibilities, including providing central administrative and secretarial support for Faculty committees, meetings, functions, and events; assisting with finance- and budgeting-related matters; supervising junior staff in supporting a full range of administrative and operational tasks; and performing any other duties as assigned. The appointee is expected to develop effective working relationships with colleagues at all levels and be familiar with the University procedures and policies. Shortlisted candidates will be invited to attend an interview and written test.
