Applications are invited for appointment as Post-doctoral Fellow in the School of Biomedical Sciences (Ref.: 535093) to commence as soon as possible for three years, with the possibility of renewal subject to satisfactory performance and funding availability.

Applicants should possess a Ph.D. degree in Neuroscience, Biomedical Engineering, Biochemistry, Molecular Biology, Genetics/Genomics, Stem Cell Biology, or a related discipline, and demonstrate outstanding experimental, writing, and communication skills. Preference will be given to candidates with research experience in epigenetics, stem cell reprogramming, neural development, disease modelling using human iPSCs, and/or bioinformatics/artificial intelligence. In particular, we seek applicants with expertise in techniques such as genomics, CRISPR/Cas-mediated genome editing, pluripotent stem cell differentiation, neural precursor cell and neuronal culture, and in vivo animal modelling. Experience in translational research in neurodegeneration, cancer, or rare genetic diseases will be considered a plus.

Candidates must demonstrate a strong command of written and spoken English, high levels of self-motivation, innovation, and the ability to work effectively in an interdisciplinary team environment. Enquiries about the post should be sent to Professor Guoping Fan at gfan@hku.hk.
