Executive Assistant (at the rank of Clerk II) in Department of Electrical and Electronic Engineering (Ref.: 536254) (to commence as soon as possible, on a two-year fixed-term basis with contract-end gratuity and University contribution to a retirement benefits scheme, totalling up to 10% of basic salary, with the possibility of renewal subject to satisfactory performance)

Applicants should possess a higher diploma or an equivalent qualification, or possess 5 passes in HKCEE including English (min. Grade C if Syllabus A/Level 2 from 2007), Chinese (Level 2 from 2007) and Mathematics, OR min. Level 2 or equivalent in 5 subjects in HKDSE including English Language, Chinese Language and Mathematics, plus at least 2 years of full-time work experience, preferably in the tertiary education sector. They should have a good command of both written and spoken English and Chinese (including Putonghua); good organisational, interpersonal, communication and problem-solving skills; proficiency in IT and familiarity with office applications; ability to work independently and under pressure to meet tight deadlines. They should also have a strong sense of responsibility, attention to details and the ability to multi-task.  Immediately available is preferred.

The appointee will assist in financial and administrative matters of the department, including handling payments and processing receipts, preparing accounting statements and reimbursement, maintaining database for finance records, and office inventory. He/She will also provide support for tasks as assigned by supervisor(s) and perform other duties as assigned by the Head of the Department. A highly competitive salary commensurate with qualifications and experience will be offered, in addition to annual leave and medical benefits.
